Claire Wilding

Independent Speech & Language Therapist

Please note: I am currently on maternity leave and am therefore unable to respond to new enquiries.

I will be returning to work in Spring 2023.  Thank you for your understanding.

I often think 'Speech and Language Therapist' is the wrong title for our profession, we don't just help people to speak or teach them the right words to use; we support all aspects of their communication.  Just think about communication for a second -  It's the basis of everything isn't it? Understanding and using eye contact, body language, reading facial expressions and interpreting written information or symbols.  It is how we make friends, express our thoughts, feelings and choices, it's how we order a coffee or tell our family we love them and it's how we learn. Communication is a fascinating, complex process and that means that there are lots of things that can go it's understandable that many children have difficulties.

All children will have their own, different difficulties and I work with children, their families, schools and nurseries in order to help them to move forward with their speech, language and communication.

I am a qualified, experienced Speech and Language Therapist and I provide a safe place with fun activities to support your child's communication.

I am based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and cover surrounding areas but I am more than happy to travel.
